Tongwei's booth was one of the largest at this year's SNEC exhibition. For our team, it posed significant challenges: how to utilize the space effectively to reflect the company's grandeur and vision; how to design the space in an outstanding way that showcases the enterprise's strength and sentiment; how to efficiently implement the design within such a tight timeframe; and how to ensure every aspect of the booth was flawlessly presented.
When we first received the theme of "Photovoltaics Transforming the World," we identified three key concepts: the content core of "photovoltaics," the dynamic core of "transformation," and the strategic core of "world." We then tailored the design to echo these three keywords, creating a unique exhibition space to Tongwei.
The Lankam design team took the lead by addressing four dimensions—"Leading: Aesthetics of Light," "Action: Aesthetics of Dynamics," "Embracing: Aesthetics of Space," and "Wisdom: Aesthetics of Technology"—to resonate with the keywords and imbue the entire space with Tongwei's distinctive identity.
British design master Bill Brandt believed that "light is one of the most crucial elements in artistic creation because it endows objects with form, depth, and a sense of dynamism." Photovoltaic energy, derived from the sun, inherently possesses the aesthetics of light. When juxtaposed with photovoltaic products, it accentuates the form, depth, and dynamic beauty of Tongwei's photovoltaic offerings.
We employed a photovoltaic energy matrix in the ceiling space to evoke the texture of the sun and solar energy. Utilizing 2,000 movable matrix floating balls, we highlighted the dynamic beauty of "transformation," mirroring the changing patterns of sunlight. This design is both tangible and profound, illustrating Tongwei's proficiency in harnessing solar energy and its aspiration to transform the world. It serves as a narrative that unfolds a natural photovoltaic realm—depicting the current state of the photovoltaic industry, Tongwei's leading position, and its future development trajectory.
The entire exhibition booth adopts an embracing layout, presenting a progressive display of "polysilicon, cells, and modules" in tiered arrangements. Each tier elaborates on the distinct characteristics and advantages of these three main products, underscoring the company's leading role. The embracing design also reflects Tongwei's open and encompassing layout, embodying the company's broad vision and ambitious aspirations.
Building upon the previous three elements, we employed a variety of multimedia tools to showcase the boundless possibilities that intelligent manufacturing brings to the photovoltaic world.
By integrating screens with electronic sand tables, we created an immersive "Fishery-Solar Integration" scenario. Visitors can step inside to observe the complete working principles of the products during the application process and understand the data changes generated behind the scenes through on-screen data displays. The naked-eye 3D effects on both sides make Tongwei's booth stand out among all others, with their dynamic visuals highlighting Tongwei's leading technological prowess in photovoltaic manufacturing. Additionally, the combination of modules and large screens forms a tiered, overlapping digital technology forest, further enhancing the visual impact.
The design of Tongwei's booth is a masterpiece crafted with our unique ingenuity, while its implementation stands as a testament to the exceptional skills of our engineering team.
Throughout the booth construction process, we faced a tight schedule and heavy workload. Notably, the number of matrix balls for Tongwei's booth set a record high among all previous exhibitions, necessitating overtime work from everyone to meet the deadline. We demonstrated the "Lankai Speed" and completed Tongwei's booth as scheduled.
Meeting the deadline for booth completion was just the baseline requirement. We also had to ensure that all facilities were fully functional and that multimedia applications operated smoothly. This required continuous testing and rehearsals by our team to guarantee that every aspect met our expectations.
